and some questions from me (these are just specific concerns i have so feel free to go with your own stuff):
1) if you have read the nausicaa of the valley of the wind manga, do you think nausicaa's characterization is in line with canon? if not, what aren't I doing right? do you have any suggestions as to what I could do better and how? my concerns are especially with how she speaks, so if you have any input on that it would be lovely! of course, any concrit or advice is very much welcome!
2) I'm super new to dreamwidth, dreamwidth rp, and panfandom rp. I'm kind of stumbling into this with the lights off, so any tips you have as to What To Do and how to do it would be incredibly appreciated. this goes for like. pretty much anything relating to dw rp. if I should be doing something that I'm not, or if I'm doing something wrong, please let me know :')

Seeming: Beast
Role: A large bird that keeps a watchful eye on the Keeper's property from above
Abilities: Flight for periods of time on the smaller side, increased vision, talons on both hands and feet, also the ability to screech like a hawk (rise and shine)
Description: In beast form, Nausicaa is a large bird somewhat resembling an eagle in appearance. She is larger than a human, and could probably pick one up for some time. Save for a swatch of a lighter red across her face, her feathers are all white. That includes two long head feathers that form an upside-down "v" shape, much like the handlebars on the kite,"mehve", that she uses to fly in her story. In fact, her beast form resembles her mehve quite a bit overall.
In her humanoid form, Nausicaa retains her wings. They are definitely not as large as they are in her beast form, but they are still substantial and allow her to fly for a little while. There are patches of feathers across her body. She still has arms independent of her wings, and she has talons on her hands. She also has talons on her feet, which are bird feet. The bird feet are attached to feathery bird legs, and her nose is hooked like a beak.
Reasoning: Throughout the story, there are many, many bird comments made in response to Nausicaa by all sorts of people, especially when she's flying around on her mehve. They're all over the place. She is able to naturally read the wind and is a great pilot, much like a bird. At one point, a character named Chikuku compares her to an angel on a religious mural, saying that Nausicaa is like the apostle of heaven depicted in the mural, but that if she had actual wings growing out of her back she would be a monster (whoops sorry Nausicaa). In addition, birds often symbolize freedom, and Nausicaa is not only free-spirited, but also holding a philosophy that life should be lived freely, naturally, and without being caged by the plans and restraints of the past.
